In this warm, uplifting film we meet Noe, a beekeeper who discovered through the assistance of the USAID-funded Farmer to Farmer programme that his hives had been struck by an infectious mite. Established in Haiti in 1996, this is one of Partners of the Americas’ longest-running programmes. It has seen many challenges, changes and successes over the years, and has enabled Haitian farmers to learn best practice agricultural techniques and thereby improve their yields. With clean hives and healthy bees, Noe is now using the profits from his honey to build a new, more solid house. Our videographer, Sidney, won an internal USAID award for this video. Watch it and you’ll understand why.
