Knowledge of how individuals can contribute to saving energy, cutting carbon dioxide emissions and preserving water is now quite commonplace in developed societies. However, in Papua New Guinea (PNG), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) found a need to sensitise the public and influence positive behaviour changes with regards their interactions with the environment and its natural resources. As part of the wider ‘Be The Change’ communications campaign, co-orchestrated by our development communication specialist, Assel, this awareness-raising drive aimed to encourage public engagement and contributions towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Watch her animation to see how environmental protection initiatives are being promoted in PNG.
