In many rural parts of Africa, access to sexual health services is still limited, especially for marginalised communities. In 2014, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPFF) (African Region branch) launched its Vision 2020, a ten-point plan that strives to place access to family planning and sexual health services at the heart of the development agenda. Sidney, one of our Kenya-based videographers, visited the organisation’s regional offices to learn about its work and develop the concept for this short promotional video, which highlights the IPPF’s achievements and its goals looking forward to 2020. He then scripted the film and also created the animated graphics. The final feature was shown at the First Ladies’ Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where 30 First Ladies gathered to further dialogue on Africa’s development.
