How were the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) informed? Here, Bjørn Lomborg explains. Named as one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people, Lomborg is a respected professor, economist and author who heads up the Copenhagen Consensus Center, a think tank that produces essential research on the global climate, social change and development. Our talented videographer, Ivo, worked closely with Lomborg’s team to produce three short videos about their work. Using engaging and colourful animated graphics, this one reviews the transition from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to the SDGs, and explores the economics of prioritising and selecting the new UN goals as we look forward to 2030.
